Our Bishop

From The Desk Of Our Bishop: Taken from John 15 : 5 -  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit; for without me ye can do nothing. There has never, ever been a time when we need Jesus more than now. Men, trying to do things without Him, have created this monster of a mess all around us. Its' not just the mess that's been made of the economy that's bad enough. But all the stealing, killing and destroying everywhere you look, is heaping heartaches on top of heartache for so many people; especially for those who don't know Him as Lord and Savior. Trying to meet your own needs without God is hopeless and makes bad things worse. What's even more tragic is to see people who know Jesus as their Savior getting caught up in the same wave of failure and loss as those who do not know him. What's the answer? Let's go back to the words of Jesus. Without me ye can do nothing. We need Jesus, and His word if we are going to make it. Be blessed and remain in the vine. Grace and Peace. Bishop Eric S. McMillian Bio: Bishop Eric Samuel McMillian, BTH, MTH, accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior in 1979 at Mt. Zion First Born Church in New Brunswick, NJ; he was called into Ministry in 1981. In 1982, after faithful work and dedication unto the Lord, he started Pastoral work at Miller's Memorial First Born Church in Camden, NJ. In 1989, Bishop McMillian returned home and became Pastor of Mt. Zion Ministries First Born Church, where he started a prayer band and currently orchestrates an awesome Life Bible class. At that time the Ministry became a 501(c)3 organization and eventually was renamed Mt. Zion Ministries Family Worship Church. In a hunger and thirst for more knowledge of God's Word, Pastor McMillian pursed and acquired his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Theology from the Orlando Bible Institute in Orlando, FL. Bishop McMillian, now in full time ministry, believes the only way to build Christians is by Jesus Christ's mandates and by hearing and doing the Word of God. His teaching of the Word has helped Mt. Zion Ministries Family Worship Church to grow tremendously in the knowledge of Christ. This mission of Mt. Zion Ministries Family Worship Church is "Changing the Mind of Mankind, One Mind at a Time." He is the proud father of Britnee S. R. McMillian and has a loving and devoted wife Lady Carol A. McMillian, who is also a pivotal leader in the Ministry.
